STAYCATION: Hôtel Les Dames du Panthéon
Hôtel Les Dames du Panthéon is a four-star hotel situated in the heart of the historic 5th Saint-Germain. Upon my arrival, the first thing that caught my eye was the intricate details of the hotel. I was told that the interior design of the hotel was inspired by the spirit of some great women that could be seen on each of the six floors of the hotel. Each floor’s theme payed a subtle tribute to its muse, from the fifties-style rooms fit for Edith Piaf to the use of silks to embody Marguerite Duras’ years in Indochina, this hotel had so much culture.
There are 35 rooms within the hotel, including one suite. Each room had a flatscreen TV, free WiFi, minibar, and my personal favourite - Carthusian toiletries which were scented with Mediterranean aromatics and hard to find outside of Capri! Each room (except Classic rooms) also have bath tubs which are great for long relaxing soaks as you take in being in this wonderful city, in this stunning hotel.
What I loved about this hotel was the continental breakfast that was served, the array ranged from fresh fruits to breads and of course french croissants. There was also an omelette station and cold cuts being served which appealed to various international travellers also vacating in the hotel, and after a delicious breakfast and day of roaming the streets of paris aka. shopping, one come back and unwind at the plush champagne hotel bar that is decorated with colour-block rugs and quirky hanging glassware. The hotel bar was also a popular favourite amongst both guests and locals.
The hotel also has an amazing view of the Pantheon and additionally what stood out to me was the convenience of the location as there were lots of things to see and cosy French restaurants just within walking distance! The perfect place for anyone looking for a cosy, perfectly situated hotel!
