Located in the historic Palace Quarter in Budapest’s centre, Hotel Palazzo Zichy Budapest is a charming hotel where history meets present. The building, a former palace from the 19th century was turned into a four star hotel in 2009 and has been welcoming guest with 80 well-equipped contemporary style rooms.
The facade and the interior preserved the beauty of the old mansion built for the famous Hungarian noble, Count Nándor Zichy and for his family. The hotel is situated in the Palace District surrounded by restaurants, bars, terraces, cafes and little shops. The building is within walking distance from the Hungarian National Museum, the Great Synagogue, the Great Market Hall and the Holocaust Memorial Center.
Upon booking a room, guests are able to enjoy a complimentary lavish buffet breakfast, nepresso coffee machine in all rooms with daily coffee selection, high-speed Wi-Fi Internet, coffee, tea and mineral water until 5 p.m. in the lobby lounge and in-room Blu-ray player with smart functions.

My favourite from the hotel was the immense american-style breakfast spread which featured hot dishes, cold cuts, cheeses, sparking wine/champagne, an array of juices and fruits, pastries, and much more!
The hotel also features a gym and 24-hour access to the sauna - perfect to relax after a long day!
The staff at the hotel were very courteous and prompt to answer my queries. Right from the booking inquiry until I checked out, they ensured I was well taken care of. They even emailed me to check if I had a comfortable stay or not!
