STAYCATION: DREAM PHUKET & SPA, PHUKET
Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa lives up to its name, it literally is a dream. Conveniently located near the Laguna area and only 20 minutes from the Phuket International Airport, the hotel is situated away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket's commercial destinations.
Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa is surrounded by green hills, tropical plantations and the Andaman Sea. The hotel features 172 guest rooms, suites and villas which are all incredibly modern. The contemporary furniture is very eye-catching and all rooms feature a rain shower, standing bathtubs, flat-screen TV with international programming, a fully stocked mini bar, balconies with sliding glass doors and views of the main pool, gardens and mountains and more.
I stayed in the Sky Pool suite which was amazing. It was 76 square-meters and included a large balcony with a private pool, a King bed, full kitchen, and other amenities. Walking in, I was amazed by the modern-take and comfortable surroundings.
All Dream suites and villas also include a kitchenette, ironing set, couch, microwave, oven, luxury bath amenities & in-room chef on request. Talk about being spoilt with luxury!
What was very unique about this hotel is that it featured two luxurious pools. On the ground floor you will find the hotel’s main pool complete with a swim-up bar with in-water bar stools that served poolside bites and cocktails, sun loungers and private cabanas. The other was on the rooftop and was an infinity pool which had panoramic views of Phuket and also served up tropical cocktails.
Other amenities include Sanctuary Spa, Fitness Centre, Board Room and Shuttle Services to all the main areas of Phuket.
What I loved about the hotel is that it also showcased various restaurant with relaxing atmospheres for when you want to wine-down. The signature restaurant, called Triology boasts a very lush setting. They offer both indoor and outdoor terrace dining with a show kitchen which resembles a live cooking theatre where chefs showcase their skills in serving modern-style Thai food incorporating Southeast Asian flavours and spices. Breakfast is also served here and is a gourmet wonderland of fresh croissants, congee, juices, pastries and much more!
On the rooftop guests will also find Vu Rooftop and Pool bar which offers a unique and enticing cocktail menu incorporating Thai flavours like lemongrass, tamarind and chilli. This was one of my favourite spots as I got to watch the sun set while listening to soothing vibes and sip on a delicious drink. Indulge is the other dining/bar facility, offering more private functions with tasting sessions upon request and a low-key ambience.
The hotel is also only a 4-minute ride from their exclusive Dream Beach Club where guests can enjoy a nice cocktail, watch the sunset and relax down at the Layan beachfront.
The multi-story club features two pools, a restaurant for indoor and alfresco dining, and four bars. Dream Beach Club is also one of the cleanest beaches in Phuket and also one of the few beach clubs with direct access to the sea. Level One is Dream Beach Club's rooftop bar and nightclub that promises electric parties at nightfall.
Guest should definitely not hesitate when deciding to stay at Dream Phuket Hotel & Spa. It has been one of my all-time favourite hotels and one of the most relaxing experiences I have encountered on holiday. All the staff were extremely accommodating, friendly and welcoming and I can’t wait to be back here!
