Oct 22 Staycation: The Luxury Twinpalms Phuket

Located in a tranquil and exclusive environment, Twinpalms Phuket is your luxurious getaway in Thailand. Located just 175 meters from the beautiful Surin beach and a 20-30 minute drive from the airport, the prime location makes it a favourite for travellers to visit!

We were picked up from the Phuket Airport by the hotels private car that also had free wifi on board! Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff and offered beautiful jasmine flowers that smelt divine and were sewn together to form a bracelet. We were then shown to check-in and given a welcome champagne drink and cold towels to freshen up with. We were also shown a pillow menu, room flowers and room scent in which we were able to select for our room - talk about personalisation! The whole check-in process was fast and seamless and in no time we were escorted to our room.

There are 97 luxurious spacious Penthouses, Suites and Rooms located at the resort, each surrounded by palms, with all of the units featuring a private terrace and offering a pool view. All rooms are equipped with oversized bathroom with rain and hand showers, stunning pool and tropical garden views from private balconies, individual hi-fi system & DVD player, BBC, sports and movie satellite television, refrigerator with fully-stocked mini bar, coffee & Tea making facilities, Twinpalms Artesian Water, Hair dryers, In-room safe, High speed internet access, iPod docking station and more!

We stayed in the Deluxe Pool Room which was very spacious and modern but still had a taste of Thai authenticity which we loved! Our room balcony opened up to the Twinpalms main pool which was perfect when we wanted to have a quick swim or simply lounge on the chairs outside and enjoy the view.

The hotel & resort features various food & beverage outlets both located in-house and nearby. Breakfast was served daily at Oriental Spoon Grill & Bar and featured a wide international selection of breakfast items such as cold cuts, cheese platters, freshly baked bread/muffins, sausages, waffles/pancakes, an egg station, Thai dishes, fresh fruit, fresh juices, a sparkling champagne bar and more! Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and it was amazing to see such a catered selection!

Twinpalms Phuket is also home to the famous Catch Beach Club which is Phuket's most inventive, style-setting beach club. Unfortunately when we went, there was a typhoon so we could not enjoy the cabanas but opted for the restaurant instead! The beach club caters to guests for brunch, lunch and dinner, where their team of award-winning chefs bring you a menu to dine for. They have also newly launched Raw Bar at Catch which offers an inspired choice to seafood lovers and on Friday nights they do a Catch BBQ which is one to not miss out on!

Twinpalms also has a Pool Bar which is situated in the tranquil setting beside the main pool at the resort. The Pool Bar offers an array of fine food and beverages. They feature an international menu which presents a large variety of salads, hot dishes and desserts daily. Guests can also relax and enjoy one of their renowned health drinks, made from their own recipes as well as classic cocktails, beers, wines and spirits.
