PHUKET'S MOST ROMANTIC BEACHFRONT DINING
Known as one of Phuket’s most romantic places, Nakalay Beachfront Dining is Phuket’s romantic dining and candlelit dinner experiences that sits at the beachfront of Nakalay Beach, where you can enjoy 180-degree views of the spectacular Andaman Sea and the breathtaking sunsets.
Part of Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa, guests can spend the night in their very own private candle-lit beach cabana with their toes in the sand while starring into the twinkling lights of Patong beach.
Romantic Private Beachfront Cabana Dining aims to bring a unique tailor-made dining experience to Phuket as they believe great food is incomplete without great atmosphere as well. It is one of Phuket’s last remaining privately accessible beach unspoilt by the increasing commercialization of Phuket’s tourism landscape.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff and shown to our private beach table. The walk up to the table was beautifully lit with candles in the sand and lights decking out the tree. We then sat down and was served a hot towel and a glass of bubbly to start our experience. Our waiter was very kind and attentive and even offered to take lots of photos of us with the views so we could capture this amazing experience.
The menu is classic Thai and seafood featuring 3 set menu dinners include Turf Side, Surf Side, and Surf and Turf. The opening hours are from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm on weekdays and 11:00 am to 11:30 pm on weekends. They also provide a la carte options such as King River Prawn with Garlic and Pepper Sauce, Southern Style Spicy Duck Curry, Chu Chee Lobster, Phuketian Noodles, Signature Tom Yum Soup and more! We opted for the a la carte menu.
All the food was presented beautifully and you could taste the freshness and flavours of each meal. For two of us, we decided on Tom Yum Soup, Spicy seafood salad, Chicken satay, Prawn cake, King river prawn with tamarind sauce and Chicken Panaeng Curry. The portions are quite generous so be sure to go here with an appetite!
The whole dining experience was immaculate. Listening to the sound of the ocean whilst enjoying a candle lit dinner and amazing food was the highlight of our trip. This was one of the best and most romantic experiences we have encountered whilst travelling. A must-do for anyone visiting Phuket.
