Who doesn’t love a cake that looks amazing and tastes even better? Launched in Hong Kong in 2017, YYY House of Cakes is a boutique bespoke cakery in Hong Kong that prides itself for their innovative designs and mixed cake mediums. Named after the owners initials Yvette Yan Yi (YYY) her business started from a passion of baking and cooking.

Four years ago, she started a food and recipe blog as a passion project which documented all her recipes she would cook and make for her family and friends. Due to the extremely positive response and requests for her cakes, her family urged her to pursue this as a business.

The brand found its own niche in the competitive food industry in Hong Kong, and is still growing to date. YYY House of Cakes specialises in cakes of any design, any size and any flavour with mixed mediums. For example the brand can create a cake with a sugar fondant, chocolate, gelatine and sugar lace decorations. With a background of Fashion and Architecture, Yvette is always inspired by my surroundings, and any detail, be it in nature, children's art, buildings, paintings, sculptures etc. Her background also showcases her attention to detail that take place on each cake.

The brand has been merited not only on its design, but also by its texture and taste. YYY House of Cakes only uses fresh ingredients, with little to no leavening agents. YYY House of Cakes Signature Cakes include: Pavlova, Soufflé Lime Pie, Carrot Cake and Chiffon Meringue. They also strive to create cakes with light airy sponges sandwiched by fresh cream and finished with Swiss Meringue Buttercream, giving a final product which is not too sweet, guilt free and a visual delight. While there is a list of bestselling flavours, the cakery welcomes any flavour requests, as well as the need for special dietary requirements. It caters for gluten free, lactose free, low sugar and low G.I. requests.

Their licensed central kitchen is open in Ap Lei Chau, which Yvette has personally designed, coordinated and overseen the construction. Visitors are welcome to swing by to say hello, however YYY House of Cakes also offer a delivery service to ensure our cakes arrive safely at their respective venues. They also coordinate with restaurants on delivery timings and logistics of cold storage for their cakes for out-of-house venues.
