Deliveroo: Hong Kong's #1 F&B Delivery Service
One of the best things about living in Hong Kong is the easy availability of food from around the world. When it comes to the end of the day and you’re tired and unbothered to trek it to the supermarket to do your shopping, or cook we turn to food delivery.
We’ve tried and tested one of the most popular food and drink delivery websites in Hong Kong - Deliveroo.
Launched a few years ago in Hong Kong, Deliveroo has made a promising name for itself worldwide providing to be one of the high quality and most convenient delivery services.
We placed an order for our food and within seconds we received a confirmation email ensuring us our order was confirmed and being prepared. You can track your order status on their website or via the app (which seemed to be more accurate) so you can keep an eye on when your food its on its way. The food took about 25-30 minutes to arrive which is quicker than most delivery places we’ve tried out before. It was also still hot when it was delivered and all standards were met.
Deliveroo also features over 4000 restaurants around Hong Kong on their platform, making you spoilt for choice on what you want (this is narrowed down depending on the are you live in). They also categorise their website by cuisine, dietary requirements, and offers and also allows you to sort by delivery time, recommended outlets or top rated.
Deliveroo has also most recently launched a loyalty program - Food Market. The program rewards customers who order food with an e-stamp for every HK$50 spent at Food Market. After they collect 10 stamps they can redeem a $100 coupon redeemable in store. Or they can save 20 stamps for a $150 in-store cash coupon; 30 stamps for $200. Members of the program can also enjoy birthday rewards of 10 per cent off any purchase during their birthday month.
Food Market is the food-delivery service’s first direct-to-consumer location, letting customers walk in off the street and order their food for takeaway. Food Market also prepares food orders for delivery via the Deliveroo platform.
In our opinion, Deliveroo is one of, if not the best food delivery service in Hong Kong. They not only feature top restaurants of high quality but also the variety and the delivery time is something you cannot beat.
Deliveroo hours range from 12:00pm – 11:00pm and they charge a HK$20 delivery fee.
