Built on the site of a former 14th century monastery, Mandarin Oriental, Prague has managed to beautifully preserve a piece of the city’s history and heritage while offering guests a five-star luxury experience. Perfectly positioned on the castle side of Prague, the Mandarin Oriental is just a short walk from Charles Bridge, old town Prague, and all the beautiful sites the capital city of the Czech Republic has to offer. With 79 elegant rooms, 20 individually decorated suites, a beautiful spa, a state-of-the-art gym, a private wine grotto dinning room, a gorgeous ballroom, beautiful grounds and fantastic dinning, the Mandarin Oriental, Prague is truly a destination in itself.

Soon the concierge came to show me to my room, and upon entrance, I was impressed. The room was large, by European standards, and well appointed with a large closet area, two beds, a desk area, and large windows that allowed the sunshine to seep through and light up the whole space.

Each room features a spacious limestone bathroom. After spending a day walking around the beautiful city of Prague, kick off your shoes decompress by feeling the warmth of the heated floors while you fill-up the large bathtub. With large glass showers featuring state of the art shower heads, including a waterfall shower head, time is of no concern. Designed as your own private spa, each bathroom is equipped with rejuvenating aromatherapy essential oils and balms.

In the mornings, we took advantage of the beautiful breakfast buffet that is included in your stay at Mandarin Oriental.
