STAYCATION: FOUR SEASONS, CASABLANCA

Located on the oceanfront and just minutes away from the city’s business district, the landmark Hassan II Mosque and designer shopping lies the Four Seasons, Casablanca.

On our last night in Morocco we made the most of this chance to stay at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca.

The hotel cascades down a hillside toward the ocean, affording sweeping views from guest rooms and public spaces. The interiors are modern with design elements inspired by traditional Moroccan motifs, with a palette of natural colours and textures accented with gold.

We stayed in the Grand premiere room which had floor-to-ceiling windows that opened onto a private balcony – a rarity in the city! The average size of the room was 47 m2 (506 sq.ft.) and featured an espresso machine, a selection of exclusive Moroccan teas, In-room safe, a customizable Four Seasons Bed – with your choice of plush, signature or firm mattress topper, down duvets and pillows, thick terry bathrobes, Bvlgari Thé Blanc deluxe toiletries and more!

For business customers, Four Seasons Casablanca offers a 24-hour Business Centre with computers and printers, complimentary wireless Internet, secretarial service on request at the front office, translation and interpretation service on request at the front office and more.

The hotel has 3 restaurants, all with their own unique cuisine.

BLEU
From the fresh-caught fish of the day to the gently curved walls and a striking ceramic shell mural, the signature Mediterranean restaurant draws inspiration from Casablanca’s coastline – a view easily seen from every table, both inside and on the terrace. This is also where breakfast is served.

LATITUDE 33

Named after Casablanca’s geographical setting on the 33rd parallel, the chic, resort-style, poolside restaurant is open seasonally during spring and summer and offers fresh local specialties made for sharing.

MINT

Adorned with Moroccan white stucco embroideries contrasting the black marble floor, the elegant lobby lounge invites guests to sit with friends for a causal meal of authentic Moroccan specialties and light, gourmet fare served all day.

We had the opportunity to dine at Bleu for dinner. The food tasted very fresh and was cooked to pristine. The wait staff were very accommodating and polite and ensured that we were very satisfied with the meal.

*No alcohol is allowed as the hotel is very close to the mosque.

Four Seasons Casablanca also features an outdoor heated swimming pool and club-like spa perfect for guests to relax and unwind after a long day. The spacious Le Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca has 10 spacious treatment rooms, with couple’s spa suites and two Balneo pools. A fitness center is also at your disposal, with high tech equipment and even yoga classes twice a week.

Four Seasons Casablanca is only a short drive from any of the White City’s landmarks and attractions, the most notable being Hassan Ii Mosque whose 210-metre tall Minaret (tallest in the world) can’t be missed. Africa’s largest shopping center, Morocco Mall is also reachable by the hotel’s private limo shuttle.

This was an amazing experience and Four Seasons Casablanca definitely lives up to its prestigious name.
